Food is a subject to close to everybody
heart. I have heard so many recommendations. So many tips of the where the
outlets are!
First, the direction given by many do not fit my frame of mind. Not
surprising that it took me a while to understand how the instruction to be
interpreted. Then upon finding, the stall is not a very popular place. Or the
place was a "has-been" and no body talks about it any more.
The main point that I hope that you
would understand is that, now with lots more people from the young generation, taste
buds have changed. The statement as to good taste is really up to the
individual. I would called that "Acquired taste".
In this page, "good" in
accordance to my taste. I am in the early 60's. It must be taste, from those
yesteryears. The characteristic- Strong taste, hefty offerings and chunky
pieces.
Below, I have listed out outlets which were
most spoken about. No inference as to they are the best! At the best - they are
acknowledged. That makes them a sort of "must visit" to form your own opinion. By the way,
being a non-Muslim, most of the outlets discussed are non-halal.
The
choice of coverage is - local food in the normal price range. i.e Generous of
offerings, measured in my standard of taste and do not burn a hole in the
pocket.
